Weekend Recap: Memories Made

Happy Monday! and Happy MLK Day! Crazy to think that just four years ago I was spending MLK weekend in Paris with my mom. This time around I didn’t have the day off like some of you, but that’s a-okay with me because it’s time to recap the weekend with my fellow blogger friend Lisa.

Friday night I made dinner and watched Runner Runner. It was such a treat watching Ben Affleck speak Spanish as well as JT. I liked the movie overall and it made me wanna go to Costa Rica. As soon as the credits rolled, my friend asked me to meet her and some friends at a neighborhood bar close by so I did.

Saturday morning after getting much needed beauty sleep I made myself pancakes with strawberries on the side. I also got to brew a new Keurig cup flavor from Donut Shop called Coconut Mocha and it was so delish! I had made dinner plans with my friend Ava and I was excited all day especially after making reservations.

We went to Del Frisco’s Steakhouse and the food as you can see looks and was amazing! After stuffing our faces to our hearts’ content we met up with the rest of our friends for some good ol’ karaoke in uptown.

I had to change clothes because the gray sweater dress I was previously wearing was a bit too formal for a karaoke bar so I wore this top with leggings and boots. The rest of the pics are in my friend’s cameras so these are the only ones I have.

It’s been awhile since we all went out together so needless to say we had a blast, especially after singing Spice World by the Spice Girls. It was five of us so we called ourselves just that.

Sunday I pretty much had to get some work done for my job and that was not that fun because it meant I was taking notes, paying a lot of attention to videos, taking tests, blah blah blah. I honestly feel like I learn a lot at work for my job and it makes me feel like I’m back in college again. It’s all worth it in the end though because it helps me in my role and therefore make that money honey!

After I was done with work, I decided to do my own nails since one of them broke off. Not sure if I will go back to my natural nails or get them done later this week. For now though, I really like this color I picked from my nail polish stash. This color is by OPI in Cuckoo For This Color.

I’m doing my own linkup on Wednesday if you guys wanna join me! It’s called CONFESSIONS. Grab the button and let’s hear your confessions on Wed.
