Finally getting around to posting about my weekend of love. I have been busy getting all my ducks in a row so that come March, things will be that much better. More on that for tomorrow’s post for Confessions of a Blogaholic, hope y’all join me!
Friday night I went on a coffee date with this Jordanian guy. When I say Jordanian, he IS Jordanian as in he has only been here a few months. He had a thick accent, which I liked but it was still hard to understand him sometimes. He was nice and we had good conversation, but that’s pretty much it.
Saturday (VDay) I went to brunch with this other guy. He’s been here for almost as long as I have, but again we’re too different because he much rather speak Spanish and I rather speak English even though I know Spanish, it’s just easier. There really wasn’t any chemistry and he was painfully quiet. Also his take on people going to church, completely turned me off. He says that people go to atone for their sins to get rid of guilt. He obviously has no idea what spirituality is about because it’s much more than that.
Once that date was over I went back home and searched throughout my closet on what to wear that night for VDay. I found my mom’s dress, which is the snake skin dress you saw me wearing in my last post and decided to wear it. What can I say, my mom has style.
I got ready and my new friend, who’s my neighbor, drove us to The Capital Grille to meet my girls for VDay dinner. Let me say that their Lobster Mac n Cheese is divine! I want to order it to go sometime soon. We had a great time and before we left the waiter gave us all pink roses.
After dinner, we headed to the club and you know how that went; if not go here.
Sunday funday! It was finally the day that I went to go see Fifty Shades of Grey with my girl and we loved every minute of it. Christian Grey is an absolute God and I can’t wait to finally finish the book. I decided that being halfway through it was good enough and now that I’m reading it, it’s really good. Who went to go see it? Did you like it as much as I did?
