Slay The Weekend

Boy how I loved this weekend. It wasn’t because of Valentine’s Day, even though that had something to do with it, but it was mainly because I got to do whatever I wanted and as a result I slayed the weekend.

I slay, you slay, we can all slay!

Last year I went out to dinner with my girlfriends and that was nice; oh and let’s not forget I had a chance to meet male model Mario.

This year I didn’t go out with anyone except my dad. We went to the movies to see Deadpool, but it was sold out so I made him watch How to Be Single. That movie was so funny and I loved it because it really spoke to me in so many ways. Being single it’s not as easy as some people may think and this movie had some valid points about what dating life is like and it had some pretty hilarious scenes where my dad and I were cracking up.

I definitely recommend watching this and there were a lot of girls in the theater so it made me miss my girls for a tad bit. I just really enjoyed spending time with my dad because it’s not very often where we randomly go to the movies.

I blogged over the weekend on being Single AF and Singles Awareness Day, in case you missed it. I didn’t buy myself flowers because the day was cloudy and I just wanted to lounge all day in my room, which I succeeded #likeaboss.

At the end of the movie, that song “Love Myself” by Hailee Steinfeld came on and it’s pretty much my anthem.

How was your Valentine’s weekend loves?
