My Birthday Week Kick Off with State Fair of Texas

My birthday week officially started yesterday with some State Fair of Texas fun! It’s been 4 years since the last time I went and it was such a fun time. Yesterday was the last day of the fair so I had to take advantage of it, as well as the rest of Dallas because man, it was packed!

I went with my friend Nestor and we enjoyed every bite of fried food goodness, got our walk on because you are bound to walk miles at the fair, took selfies and got on the ferris wheel. I’m not into getting on rides, especially since I get a bit claustrophobic so I’m fine with staying on land.

I had this wonderful pina colada in a pineapple and it was so delicious!

This is one of my favorite pics I took, especially the pink feet in the background make it look like a walking ice cream cone.

We walked around, people watched and stopped by one of the car shows.

The turkey leg was our first meal and we pretty much shared everything, which was great because there’s no way I could eat all that fried food goodness.

Fried cookie dough, which was amazeballs! It had pecans on the inside which was quite the surprise.

Don’t we look cute matching in our Cowboys gear?

I took some selfies in Nestor’s car while he drove. It took us forever to find parking since it was jam packed!

Until next year!
