It’s hard to get online these days, but here I am really making an effort.. to blog. I have so many thoughts swimming in my head and I have the urge to write them all out regardless if they even make sense. Or even if they are not bloggable material or whatever.
BTW, the pic above is old but I’m not too far from looking fab like I did in this pic! #throwbackthursday
With my new job, I don’t have to sit in front of a computer since I am outside, meeting people face to face and getting online to do work is like a checklist and I just get off the computer right away once I’m done. When I get home, I’m so tired that getting online is the last thing I wanna do. Nevermind blogging, commenting or social networking with people, what’s that?
I shut myself off the internet and it’s something I never thought I would do, but I realized that it’s something that was way overdue. Unplugging completely has helped me to live in the moment, not compare my life to others and just take it one day at a time.
I don’t know how long my internet hiatus will be, but so far I think it’s key to my sanity. Sometimes your life changes and your blog changes with it too. I don’t know where my blog is headed, but don’t worry cuz it’s not going anywhere or me for that matter.
Besides that, work is going good. It was an adjustment getting used to the routine, but I’m used to it now and I have no complaints. So thankful to have a job period you know?
On my love life, I’ve been seeing a guy for a month now. It’s funny that as soon as Fab told me to move on, a few days later I meet this new guy. We met at a mutual friend’s birthday party, totally unexpected. He actually went to my highschool and graduated a year before me. I knew of him and he knew of me, but we didn’t know each other until now.
He’s great, sweet and an amazing father. He calls me every night and we talk on the phone for hours. He makes me laugh and we have the same taste in music. I could go on and on, but I’m content where we’re at. We may take selfies this Memorial Day weekend since we’re headed to Shreveport! I seriously cannot wait to get the heck out of Dallas, I need a mini vacay and I’m so excited.
My new place is pretty solid and comfy. My dog Sebastian is getting used to it and it’s a lot easier having just a room to worry about and not the rest of the house. I met my landlord lady last week when she finally came into town and she’s really sweet. Still haven’t finished unpacking, have some boxes laying in my closet and will eventually get to unpacking.
I gotta say I love parking my car in the garage. Also not having to walk my dog alone in the dark or pick up his poop. My favorite part is having my flat screen TV I had in my living room in my apt, sitting in front of my bed in my room now.
Gotta start packing for my trip with my lovah and maybe shop for a dress or two. Hopefully my free Shoedazzle wedges will come in soon.
