Last 90 Days: My Own Version

October is coming in the blink of an eye. I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am. Though I am biased because it IS my birthday month. As of yesterday, it is actually 30 days away! Woot!

I’m sure some of you may have heard of the Last 90 Days by now because it is all the rage and rightly so. If you haven’t just look up the hashtag Last90Days on IG and you’ll see what I’m talking about. I am all for 30/60/90 day challenges, but this list that Rachel Hollis gave, got me thinking. Before I give you a piece of my mind, here’s the list:

If you’d like to join us go here: Last90Days

I was thinking some of these I’m all for it, some of these not so much. Let’s start in order shall we? Ok, so numero uno says to get up an hour earlier than you normally do. I recently decided to go to bed at a certain time every night so that I get a full 8 hours of sleep. My alarm wakes me up at 6am so if I were to do this challenge I would have to get up at 5am. Which means I would have to go to bed by 9pm, like an old lady (or a little kid). This leads me to scrap that one right off the bat so instead my goal is still going to be…

To get a full 8 hours of sleep every night. This is hard you guys because I am a night owl to the core. The other night I couldn’t get to bed by 10pm because I was blogging. So this is going to take some getting used to. Matter of fact, as I’m typing this it is now 30 minutes past my bedtime. The struggle is real. Hopefully by Monday, I will have it down packed.

Workout at least 30 minutes. YES! This one I will absolutely do. I was thinking yoga some days, at home workouts, running, walking and biking outside. The bike is going to be a physical challenge because I live on the second floor and I have to carry my bike up and down the stairs. Fun, fun! That will be my arm workout for sure.

Drink half my body weight in ounces. Ok, this one I can do. I even downloaded an app to help me; it’s called Drink Water Reminder. It is awesome! It alerts me when I need to drink water and helps me track how much water I consume. It even syncs with the Health app on the iPhone.

I’m not giving up any food categories just because I already gave up sugar for the most part since doing keto. Although I’m not on keto anymore, I feel like it taught me a lot about what I should and shouldn’t put into my body. So instead I’m going to…

Read one book a week. That’s pretty much what I’ve been doing already, but this way I can keep myself on track to really stick to it. Also, stick to only checking out 2 books at a time from the library. This will help me not rack up late fees like I did last month, oops!

Write in my journal every day. This pretty much stays in line with the gratitude list and I have been writing every other day, but I need to stick to writing every day for 90 days. I can’t wait to see how I pull this off. Will definitely jot down what I’m grateful for, my to do list, my dreams (actual dreams, not goals), my goals too while we’re at it, prayer, ideas, rants, and affirmations.

So yeah that’s my own version of how I’m challenging myself the next 90 days to really end the year STRONG AF. 2019 should be a piece of cake by the time it rolls in. What about you guys? Want to do the challenge with me?

How will you kick off the end of 2018? Let me know in the comments!
