At the end of last year, I started writing down my grateful list and ever since then I have been doing that same practice to keep me thankful and always reflecting back on all the good in my life. So today I decided it would be a good idea to do the same except write down things I’m thankful for and/or things that made me happy this week when the mood strikes. Today I’m in that mood!
Getting 7 to 8 Hours of Sleep
Ever since I started working out, I feel so tired that I can actually go to bed at a decent hour and get a wonderful 7 to 8 hours of sleep. I also feel like because I’m working out, I’m sleeping so much better now and it’s just great.
Running With My Friend
This week I ran with my good friend B, and she’s SO fast. She really helped me to push myself, but I admit yesterday’s run with her, I was wiped out and I could barely move my body at my regular speed. I have been running for 4 days straight, so today I’m taking a break.
Getting Free Lunch at Work
This week was our end of quarter and if you work for a sales company like I do, it is mayhem, yet fun. We had tacos on Tuesday, Homeslice Pizza (my first time and it is an Austin staple). Shawarma yesterday, which was delish and kolaches this morning. Let’s just say I’m eating super healthy next week.
Going On a Date
I went to dinner last night with a special someone I’ve been talking to for a few months now. We went to this restaurant called Moonshine and they have a new location in Georgetown so that’s where we went. We had a great time and I even let him drive my car (which is a stick so that was interesting).
Having Lunch With a New Friend
Since I’ve been eating inside work all week, it’s nice to get out of the office today and have girl time with a new friend. We’re also going to a place I’ve never been called Newks.
Booked My Flight for San Francisco
This was last week when I booked it, but the high of knowing I will be in California come Easter has me all giddy. I’m also bringing my dog Monroe and this is my first time traveling with a dog. Any tips are welcomed!
Scheduled Massage This Weekend
Even though the spa was booked, if someone cancels I will get to go. I got a gift card for Christmas from my boss, so I’m looking forward to getting a massage for a whole hour, especially with all the soreness I’ve been going through since getting back into running.
One of my friends and I had a small falling out for most of January and we finally talked things out this week. I feel so much better and I’m happy that we resolved things.
