About That Date

This week has been so freakin’ insane I feel like I need a vacation from my vacation. I am so exhausted and I still have stuff to do this weekend, but I hope I’ll get to unwind a little. Before I go off to my weekend though I wanted to keep y’all posted on how my date went!

Recently I realized it’s been a good three months or so since I last went on a date. To say that this date was refreshing won’t be too far from the truth. It was also nerve racking, fun, innocent, and sweet. Also, it has been interesting how my friends hunted me down wanting to know how it went so you guys aren’t the only ones I kept this little secret from.

This is the dress I wore and I got it days before my trip at Forever 21, which I didn’t even get to wear the dress while in Orlando {ain’t it funny when that happens?} so this was my first time wearing it. When I first saw this dress it totally reminded me of my blog design so basically it had my name written all over it. That pendant necklace you see there is from the S&D fall collection {Pop Geo Pendant} that I got for free at the conference last week. If you also want to get it for free tweet/message/comment.

Anyway, back to my date. As I had mentioned on my previous post, we went to a sushi restaurant that’s one of my faves. We had two other rolls, but I have to say these were my new favorite; mango lobster roll, so so good! He was such a gentleman and would get my door and we really enjoyed our dinner because he is also a foodie like me.

We talked about a lot of things and he is one of those people who is very disciplined. So much so that he doesn’t even watch much TV, reads a lot of books and is almost always productive doing something to keep himself constantly growing and learning. Basically I felt like a bum when comparing myself because I watch a ton of TV, I haven’t read many books this year and I like being lazy most of the time. So I guess maybe if he’s the guy I am meant to be with then maybe he will rub off on me and I will learn how to be like him and he can learn to be like me, or something.

For all I know he could be talking out his ass, but I have a pretty good sense of when someone is BS’ing something so I don’t think he’s kidding. I don’t think I ever met a guy who was so focused with his day to day life, it’s really inspiring and intimidating. Kinda like I need to step up my game in my own life and be a little more focused too. I know myself though and that could very well last for five minutes before I’m like “What episode am I on on Pretty Little Liars?“.

After dinner we stopped by another place for some yummy drinks and he had never been to this restaurant {Mexican Sugar} and he loved it. After a good time with our specialty drinks we headed over for some gelato and he confessed he loves sweets. Well I do too so that makes it a match made in heaven right? At least I know that if I order dessert he will gladly dive in with me #loveit.

Will there be a second date? Funny you thought that because I did too. He asked and I said yes, so we shall have date numero dos on Saturday for lunch. Now what the hell do I wear this time? Decisions, decisions.

I am officially obsessed with this song and now when he hears it, he says he thinks of me. Eek!

Have a great weekend honeybuns! xo
