Yay, it’s April! It’s already been raining a lot in Dallas and the weather is a little warmer so at least it feels like spring. This post might me short and sweet or if the writing gets away from me, it might be a regular post.
I did notice a few of you joined Anchor! So thanks for doing that but please, pretty please, get your first broadcast recorded. Also, call into my station to let me know you’re up and at ’em! Can’t wait to hear from y’all.
First motivational quote
Be the girl who decided to go for it. (Or be the guy who decided to go for it). It all starts with a decision. Everything else after that choice is entirely up to you. But nothing will happen for you until you take that step. If you’re the type of person who uses “try” in your vocabulary, stop. Stop that right now. My favorite example of the word try is when I hear someone say they’ll try to make it to an event I’m inviting them to. You either go or you don’t. There is no try because, in that example, it’s just a nice way of saying no. Which leads me to my next point (not a quote, but I’m on a roll).
Don’t be afraid to say NO. I much rather have someone tell me no rather than leading or deceiving me to think that they’re going to do something they have no intention of doing.Be the girl who decided to go for it. Click To Tweet
Second motivational quote
Be that girl who wakes up with purpose and intent. I heard Steve Harvey once say that we are not morning people because we don’t wake up with a purpose. That right there couldn’t be further from the truth. If we had a purpose, we can’t wait to get out of bed and carpe diem. Also, be intentional with everything we do and who we interact with. If negative people or negative influences waste any of our energy, that distracts us away from our purpose. So make sure that everything you do has that intention behind it that will back up your purpose. And if it doesn’t, then don’t allow it to interfere with your goals.Be that girl who wakes up with purpose and intent. Be that girl who shows up and never gives up. Click To Tweet
Be that girl who shows up and never gives up. Those two go hand in hand. You can’t show up and give up. You not giving up but don’t show up doesn’t make sense either. Finally, belief is key. Believing in yourself that anything is possible and be that girl willing to work for it. The hard work may be laid out for you, but if you believe you can do it, that’s all you need to push you through those challenges. Nothing worth having is easy to attain, otherwise, it wouldn’t be worth it right?Be that girl who believes that anything is possible and is willing to work for it. Click To Tweet
Third motivational quote
Be who you are, not what the world wants you to be. This also applies to our relationships, not just the world. We need to appreciate others for who they are, whether it be our parents, friends or significant others. Also, for the same sentiment to come from them when it comes to appreciating us for who we are. If someone is not serving you well, then you’re better off without them. Believe and trust me on that.
That’s all I got for Monday motivational quotes. I hope everyone has a fabulous week! I’m off to drink some coffee and have a hearty breakfast.
