Happy Monday! I’m so ready for this week because lots of things are in the works and I had the weekend to pretty much unwind and get my mind right. It seems these days all I update is my weekend recap post, but that’s soon about to change because I even have a drafted post that is gonna make its debut this week. Hopefully this post will be one of many that I can pull out of my creative hat.
For now though, gotta recap the weekend with my girl Lisa!
Friday I had to make a quick stop at Dunkin to take advantage of National Donut Day. Then I stopped by my Mary Kay’s Director’s house to catch up with her. I haven’t seen her in months so it was nice to see her.
This was the other day and I really like the ballerina nail shape look. I might stick with this style or do the stiletto style soon. This nail polish color though is amazing and I want to buy it. It’s Essie’s Bond With Whomever.
I went to work on Saturday for half a day and I stumbled on this book at a garage sale so I had to snatch it especially when it was only 50 cents! Excuse my crumbs in my seat, I really need to vacuum the inside of my car.
Saturday night I hung out with my friends for a friend’s birthday. We went to uptown and this place had a backyard full of fun activities to do like playing Jenga or throwing a big Ping Pong ball into giant red cups. We’re more social so we just drank and took pictures.
Sunday I slept in and it was much needed because it seemed like I haven’t done that in awhile. Then I headed over to my friend’s pool to lounge and get some sun.
I watched The Best of Me on Netflix and I didn’t know it was a Nicholas Sparks movie until I saw the beginning credits. It was a good movie, but it was such a tear jerker at the end and I was mad. Nicholas has a way of sucking you in and making you believe people can have happily ever afters and then he robs you of that idea real quick.
My weekend seriously felt like summer because I got to do the things we love to do in the summer and now all I need is another trip somewhere tropical.
